Canton Drug’s comic stylings

Canton Drug was a fixture for decades on Main Street and could claim many things in its history: a profitable business, a social hub, a phone number of the single digit “1” and … a newspaper comic strip as an advertisement.

Long before the 2009 fire destroyed the building, the comedic stylings of Canton Drug are on display in this comic/ad from the August 12, 1927 edition of the Cherokee Advance:
